BIMC Hospital was officially opened on 27th July 1998 and was established to provide an excellent primary health care service for Indonesian citizens, tourists, travelers and expatriates living in Bali. Services and facilities
Consultation Rooms

Clean and cool private consultation rooms on the Clinic premises are all linked with the Center Local Area Network (LAN) computerized medical system.

Observation Room
Patients can be accommodated in private rooms under full monitoring for observation, stabilization, or while awaiting medical evacuation

Minor Surgery / Treatment Rooms
Minor surgical procedures and routine medical treatments and dressings are performed in a separate sterile medical environment.

Pharmacy
A complete range of local and imported prescription drugs are stocked at the Center pharmacy.

In House Psychiatrist
A staff psychiatrist is available on a 24-hour basis for consultation and psychiatric intervention.

Immunization Services
A full range of standard recommended vaccines are stocked.

Medical Evacuations
For further peace of mind, should medical evacuation be necessary, BIMC Hospital Bali will handle all arrangements, either by commercial airline carrier, helicopter or private air ambulance charter. Working closely with aircraft operators and insurance companies worldwide, BIMC fully facilitates the medical evacuation to place the patient in the safest hands.

Travel Health
Travel health is a relatively new branch of medicine established to meet the needs of the growing worldwide travel industry. Indonesia has recognized this fact and recently held an international conference in Bali. BIMC is recognized as one of the leaders in the area of travel health, providing international standard medical care including preventative prophylaxis.

General Medical Check-Up
Medical check-up programs at BIMC are designed to identify risk factors and early signs of major diseases such as cancer, heart disease, diabetes and high blood pressure. Screening is conducted in a quiet, comfortable environment with the personal attention of experienced medical staff, allowing time to discuss health issues and test results of the screening with the doctor.

Medical Referrals
BIMC has a full list of specialists that can be called into the Center or, alternatively, the patient can be given a referral letter to see the specialists at their own practice.

If required, BIMC can consult with home-country physicians and make referrals to hospitals in both Australia and Singapore.

Insurance Liaison
BIMC provides its own membership program that enables patients to join and receive outpatient care at no additional charge. It is also possible to include worldwide medical evacuation and repatriation coverage in the membership program.

BIMC can liaise with any insurance or emergency assistance company abroad. Communication and paperwork is handled by the Center administration staff.
BIMC also has agreements with many insurance companies allowing cashless treatment for patients. In some instances, BIMC can billl directly to the insurance company.

Pathology Department
The Pathology department is supervised by expert medical technologists. The Pathology department can perform an extensive range of tests, from routine blood examinations to cultures and sensitivity testing.

Radiology department
BIMC hospital has a brand new Siemens 6-slice CT Scan, 3D Ultrasound and digital X Ray. Patients are provided with a CD-ROM of digital scans for their medical record or in case a second opinion should be necessary at a later date.

Operating Theatre
Should a surgical procedure be necessary, BIMC operating theatre is designed and maintained to the highest international standards with procedures in place to ensure strict quality control. Incorporating HEPA-filter technology with positive pressure and constant hourly air changes to maintain a complete sterile environment.

Intensive Care Unit
BIMC has a fully equipped 4-bed ICU which is prepared to handle even the most severe medical condition. There is also an isolation ICU bed, with a separate air filtration unit, where patients can be closely monitored at all times.

First response
BIMC has three fully equipped ambulances, a patient transfer vehicle as well as a fully equipped first response motor bike. All transportation is fitted with GPS units and radios allowing direct contact to BIMC emergency department who are ready to go, 24 hours a day.
